|To who loves music of Iran and Kurds and wants playing Kamanche.
I am teaching Kamanche (Spiked Fiddle) an Iranian bowed strings instrument in GTA and also around the world on SKYPE.
I have been teaching private lessons to Kamanche lovers in all ages. Also, Theory of Iranian Classical music and Kurdish music. The system of teaching is entirely different from Classical music, chest by chest by repeating melodies and using music scores as well.
I hold a Bachelor of Music from the Tehran University of Art. I received my Kamanche training with celebrated musicians such as Mahmood Merati, Mojtaba Mirzadeh and Ardeshir Kamkar, focusing on the study of Kurdish music in order to reconstruct the old songs of the Kurds. Over 25 years of my career, I have been attempting to recreate the classical Kurdish music in an understandable way for younger generations. I consider this effort as a cultural bridge between past and future. I am the founder of Dilan Music Ensemble. Since settling in Canada in 2012, I have had several performances such as at Tirgan Festival, International Society for Improvised Music ISIM conference in Switzerland, High-Fest in Armenia and Festival du Monde Arabe in Montreal. I have released, three albums including Alvanati, Call of the Mountains and A Yellow Flower.
